Six students had the pleasure of attending the Future Aces Foundation Conference for Empowering Students this past November 7-9.  Mr. Amy Roher accompanied Shelly Ling, Saeema Saifuddin, Lee Roy Sappleton, Chantelle Shahadat, Tapfuma Garabga and Ruby Marshall to Talisman Mountain Resort for a fun-filled educational weekend of leadership training.  Prominent speakers, such as Herb Carnegie, presented workshops on Public Speaking, Goal Setting, Creative Leadership and Team Building.  The focus of the weekend was to help students to aspire to higher ideals and to develop plans of action to implement projects that benefit schools and their community.  This inspiring three day learning experience encouraged our students to start a forum to examine issues of social justice.  We at Northern look forward to your leadership projects in our community.
